Avatar 2 - Bora Bora

This week was great!! One of our amis Maru is preparing to be baptized this Saturday!  Pray for him! 

This morning some amis took us into the mountains of Bora Bora to gather bananas, avocados and grapefruits! Which are all like 3x their normal size.  We used long sticks and machetes and it was great.  They also took us to see a spot where they filmed part of Avatar 2 a few months ago!!! So cool. This island is beyond gorgeous.  

Spiritual thought!

We are alive on earth right now so that we can change through the gospel.  That is important!  If you have the gospel in your life, APPLY IT AND SHARE IT!  Learn as much as you can about Jesus Christ and do your best to be like Him.  Love one another.  ALso don't be scared to invite your friends or family to learn more about it because one day they will be infinitely grateful.

Life is good! - Bora Bora

Life is good! This week was great because I was able to get back on my feet again in spite of medical difficulties.  So the doctor said I couldn't really do bikes for a while cause I had a "surinfection" in my toe from an ingrown toenail caused from someone running over it with a truck lol.  SO now that that's over things are back to usual! 

Lots of spiritual awakenings this week.  If you ever feel stressed or tired or sad or you don't know how to deal with certain situations/ people I have two great solutions for you.  Have a good long conversation with Heavenly Father in private on your knees, and two read a lot of scriptures.  There was one day this week where I was about to break spiritually/mentally but I tried those things and it worked out great! 

This morning we went fishing but didn't catch any fish but that's because there was a flock of dolphins (like at least 30) that chased them all away and we were so close to them I ALMOST touched one.  But it was sweet they were swimming super fast all right next to us and everything.

Toe - Bora Bora

Not much news here in Bora! A few slight medical problems but everything should work out great!

I was so so sad to hear about President Monson this past week.  HE WAS A PROPHET! And still is! How grateful I am to live in a world with prophets on the earth.  It's always such a new concept for the people we teach, that of modern prophets, but I can't think of many that are greater.  I know that God is our Father and He loves us.  He loves us so much He has done everything possible to ensure that we will make it back home to Him.  I know that this church is true and living and if we choose to have faith we will be blessed.  And if we are blessed, our lives will be filled with joy. 

I invite you all to read a talk from president Monson this week and to follow his council- READ THE BOOK OF MORMON EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paradise - Bora Bora

I love Bora!

Today for p day we went fishing with some Tahitian homies and caught 22 fish and chilled at a motu (lil island next to the island) and it was so flippin  pretty!

The only bad part is the sun is pretty bright haha!  I totally forgot to apply one of the 297 bottles of sunscreen my mom sent me off with so my complexion is currently the shade of Barbie's convertible.  

I'm starting to get to know the island pretty well, and everyone is so cool!  

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year!  

My legs are feelin the burn- even though we only cover a quarter of bora which is a pretty small island, it's decently long on bike, especially with the hills.

Last Christmas was so awesome! I got to see my family! I love my family!

I hope you all make some great new years resolutions and keep them!  Change is a great thing.  Repentance- one of the greatest gifts of all time, the ability to have second chances is simply a change of heart.  I invite you all to think and pray about what Heavenly Father would have you change in your life so that you can be more happy:)
